WISDOM TOOTH SURGERY

As there is usually not enough space in your mouth to fit your wisdom teeth normally, they usually grow out of your gums crookedly and may even get stuck halfway. When this happens, bacteria and food debris can easily enter the gaps around your wisdom teeth and cause gum problems or tooth decay. Sometimes it is recommended to remove the wisdom tooth involved to prevent future recurrence of these problems.

Wisdom tooth surgeries are straightforward and are typically done within 30 minutes. Depending on your wisdom tooth’s position, it may be necessary to open up your gums slightly, and the tooth may be separated into 2-3 pieces for easier removal. Some medicine and a few stitches will then be placed to improve the healing process.
